External Collaborator and Principal Investigator
I am a university lecturer, educational psychologist practicing in Vietnam, and a current PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, supported by a full scholarship from the prestigious ARES program. Before that, I completed a Master of Science at Guizhou Normal University, China, also with a highly competitive full scholarship from the Chinese Government.
With a strong commitment to practice-research translation, my research and clinical work span across different areas of family psychology. The research topics I investigate include, but are not limited to, parenting practices, parental burnout, child development, and adolescent academic achievement. I am also interested in the applications of positive psychology in family dynamics, and my recent research has explored how self-compassion, gratitude, and resilience influence various family processes and outcomes.
I have published over ten scientific articles in Q1 and Q2 journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. In 2023, I was recognized as one of the top ten psychologists in Vietnam based on scientific publications and H-index rankings by the Alper-Doger Scientific Index. Additionally, I have contributed to widely recognized media outlets, including Vietnamnet, Khoa học và Phát triển, and Vietnammoi.
Beyond academia, I have served as a consultant for NGOs and the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training on projects related to mental health policies, child education, and school-based mental health initiatives. As an independent child and family psychology expert, I also provide training courses for Vietnamese parents and educators.
