Welcome to the
Family in Context (FiC)
Research Group

At the Family in Context Research Group, we focus on how families interact and grow in different contexts, including life stages, family structures, and cultures. Each family functions as a unique society with its own rules, knowledge, and habits that ensure the growth and development of both the family and its members.

We find it fascinating that the experiences, knowledge, and skills people gain from their families influence individual development and, in turn, enable members to contribute back to the family, perpetuating diverse family dynamics

Our research focuses on the dynamics of family processes, aiming to understand how family members shape their environment and are, in turn, shaped by it.
